Veteran Kollywood actor Vadivelu who is campaigning for DMK lead alliance came down heavily on actor turned politician Vijayakanth yesterday. He was speaking at a meeting at Tiruvarur on wednesday. The meeting was also attended by Chief Minister M Karunandihi. Vadivelu criticized Vijayakanth for claiming himself as the 'Karuppu MGR'. “If he is Karuppu MGR, them I would like to refer me as Karuppu Nehru. He claims himself as the next Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu. If it happens, I will become the Prime Minister of the country.During the last five years, the Chief Minister has implemented a host of welfare measures, which benefited the poor. The present manifesto has doubled the goodies and welfare measures. Karunanidhi has the record of keeping his promises. I will take this to the people.", the actor said.
