Chennai magistrate court issues arrest warrants to Latha and Soundarya Rajanikanth [Thursday, February 10, 2011]
The magistrate court in chennai issued an arrest warrant to Kollywood director Soundarya Rajanikanth and her mother Latha Rajanikanth in connection with a financial transaction undertaken by them. The case was filed by Sumerchand Bafana alleging that the plaintiffs have obtained a loan of Rs 20 lakh for business related emergencies. The cheques that the above parties issued bounced when sent for collection. The plaintiffs were summoned to appear before court on February 9. They failed to appear and hence was issued a bailable warrant. The parties however settled the dispute out of court after which the arrest was recalled.
