Karunanidhi to be conferred 'Heart of Cinema award'  [Wednesday, February 9, 2011]
   
 

 

Tamil Nadu Chief minister M Karunanidhi was recently chosen for 'Heart of Cinema' award at the IFF Nagpur Film festival. The award will be conferred to Mr Karunanidhi for his contribution to the tamil cinema. The Chief minister has penned more than 75 scripts for kollywood. “ Our special team of selective jury, watched Tamil films and based on story content, treatment and success ration have chosen ‘Ilaignan’ for its story content, writing, craftsmanship with special mention of its dialogues very relevant to the period it portrays.We would like to award you a citation from International Film Festival of Nagpur and recognition of your 75th film for its most powerful dialogues which has a unique blend of relevance and realism.We have chosen the title HEART OF CINEMA for your unprecedented contribution to Tamil cinema and writing skill in particular for making Tamil Cinema deeply imprinted in the hearts of people all over the world, breaking the barriers of religion, region, language, caste and creed.”, the message from the organizers read.
