Kollywood superstar Rajanikanth's long pending project Rana aka Sultan the Warrior will get a fresh lease of life as Trisha joins the team. “The movie would have some scenes in which the real Rajini would appear. Trisha would share the screen space with the Superstar in those scenes, which would be directed by K S Ravikumar.", said close sources. The flick was directed by Rajanikanth's younger daughter Soundarya Rajanikanth. However there were many rumors that the project has been taken over by ace directors like Maniratnam and K S Ravikumar. But  there was no official confirmation to the same. The music of the flick is scored by A R Rahman. The project has already been delayed much beyond its proposed release time. Sources say that the delay had more to do with the technical complexities involved in its making. According to close sources it is expected to see the sunlight by the end of this year.
