Kollywood star Vijay's fans protested outside the theatre complex in chennai against the alleged damage inflicted to Kaavalan posters and cut outs in the city. Members of the fan club reported that Kaavalan posters were 'deliberately' torn and damaged by unidentified people. The fans also complained that the police failed to take necessary action despite informing them about the issue. Angered by the cold response of the police, the fans resorted to an open protest demanding action against the miscreants. Later numerous police men were posted on the spot to prevent any exigencies.
