Ace Kollywood director Maniratnam is all set to launch his next major directorial venture. Maniratnam had narrowed down on classic tamil novel, 'PonniyinSelvan' as the story line for his next. The novel was penned by Kalki and is an all time favourite of tamil population. The novel is based on Raja Raja Chola. The dialogues of the movie will be penned by ace writer Jayamohan.The flick will be produced by Sun Pictures with a budget of Rs 200 crore, whiich is Rs 50 crore more than the current biggest budgeted flick, Endhiran. The cast of the flick is yet to be finalised by the director.
