Chief Minister lauds Gemini Ganesan [Monday, November 22, 2010]
Releasing a book and CD in memory of veteran actor Gemini Ganesan, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M Karunanidhi said that the state should be proud of the actor. Speaking at the function, the Chief Minister said that Gemini Ganesan always rose above caste and religion and loved and promoted Tamil language. “Gemini loved Tamil language and participated in the World Tamil Conference in Kuala Lumpur. He had developed such a reformer's mind because he was groomed by Muthulakshmi Reddy", the Chief Minister said. He also appreciated Dr Kamal Selvaraj for organizing a function in memory of her father. The event was attended by many veterans of the film industry including Ace director K Balachander, lyricist Vaali and poet Vairamuthu.
