Kollywood star Vinay turned down the offer by ace director Shankar to don a pivotal role in Three Idiots. Vinay was offered the role of Madhavan in the tamil remake of the flick. He however turned down the offer as he thought that the character does not have enough scope. Kollywood actor Srikanth was also considered for the above the role and Shankar had finally choosen Vinay. However, the director might reverse in his choice back to Srikanth now as Vinay has declined to do the role.
