Academy award winner A R Rahman and Asha Bonsle jointly presented the Life Achievement award to veteran play back singer Latha Mangeshkar on wednesday. “If my father would have been alive today, he would have really felt nice. My mother used to tell me that my father had a picture of Lataji in a white sari.After getting up in the morning, he used to look at that and compose songs. I’m so happy that I got the opportunity of presenting this award to her,” , the ace music director was quoted as saying. Latha Mangeshkar on her part thanked the audience and the organizers for the felicitation extended to her and also shared some memories from her career with the audience.
