However, quite contrary to what was in the past, the musician will be seen endorsing the popular Gold brand, Malabar Gold. The above information was confirmed by M P Ahammed , the chairman of Malabar Group. He also added that he will call a press conference on October 15th on ITC Park Sheraton to announce the new brand ambassador and the expansion plans of the gold group. A group comprising of the chairman and directors of Malabar Group told the press on wednesday that they were extremly pleased that Illayaraja would be promoting their brand at the national level. Previous brand amabassadors of the famous gold group include Mohanlal, Hemamalini etc
