Kollywood actress Priyamani walked out of the Kannada project 'Sangoli Rayanna' a flick based on the life of a freedom fighter from Karnataka. Sources close to the crew said that the actress stated no reason for the withdrawal. The flick directed by Naganna had Kannada actor Darshan as the male lead. “We were initially assured by Priyamani and her manager that she would work in this film. We were even asked to pay the advance. But were informed later that she did not want to be a part of the project”, the director was quoted as saying.
