Suriya says no to dubbing [Thursday, September 2, 2010]
Ace kollywood actor Suriya has asked director Ram Gopal Varma to employ a good dubbing artist to dubb for his character in Raktha Charithra. He said that a good dubbing artist with a native hindi accent would make the character more effective. "Because, the role I play in ‘Raktha Charithra’ should be real. Audiences should get convinced with my character. Hence I wanted a dubbing artiste to do the job to maintain the nativity.I don’t know why. But it was always tough for me to learn Hindi, though I married a Punjabi girl and the language is often spoken at my home”, said Surya. The actor had earlier sought the help of a Hindi tutor to get his dialogues right during the shooting of the flick. However, Suirya has proved to be more dedicated to his character by openly seeking the help of a dubbing artist to bring forth the right feel in his character.
