The Tamil Film producers association ventured into some philanthrophy on monday as they handed over a sum of Rs 50, 000 to Mrs Meena, grand daughter of yesteryear tamil super star MK Thiyagaraja Bagavathar. MKT as he was popularly known in the industry lost his stardom and all related glory as the infamous Lakshmikanthan murder case propped up. Ever since then, the star's family has endured much hardships in life. Their story was brought to the notice of kollywood by a popular media. The Tamil producers council immediately decided to help Meena's family. The amount was handed over to Meena by V C Guhanathan, FEFSI president , in the presence of other board members , Actors Association Secretary Radha Ravi, Producer Council Secretary Sivasakthi Pandian, Vice President Anbalaya Prabhakaran, Treasurer KS Srinivasan and Executive Comitee member Vijaya Murali.
