Tamil Nadu Chief Minsiter M Karunanidhi who was launching the music album of 'Vamsam' which has Arulnidhi(his grandson) in the lead, said that he should work hard to become popular like Vijay and Suriya. Speaking at the function he lauded the works of Suriya and Vijay and praised the efforts of Director Pandiraj for the movie. “I was very much impressed by his work in ‘Pasanga’ and enquired about him. This movie would take him to further heights. Also, he has the potential to emerge as a good speaker too.’, said the chief minister about Pandiraj. The first copy of audio of the flick was  received jointly by Vijay and Suriya. Also present were Deputy Chief Minister MK Stalin, Union Ministers MK Alagiri and Dhayanidhi Alagiri, Tamil Film Producers Council president Rama Narayanan, and ‘Vamsam’ heroine Sunaina.
