Vijay strikes compromise with Theatre owners association  [Wednesday, June 9, 2010]

The issue that was brewing up between the Tamil Nadu theatre owners association and actor Vijay is now resolved after a round of compromise talks that was mediated by the Nadigar Sangam. The theatre owners had earlier asked the actor to compensate them for the losses incurred to them by the repeated bad performance of a series of his flick in the box office. As per the new settlement terms, the actor will take over his flick 'Kaavalkkaran' as a first copy basis and release it after settling the losses. The new flick will be released in theatres on a priority basis depending on the amount of losses incurred by them. Kaavalkkaran is a tamil remake of the mollywood flick Bodyguard that had actor Dileep and Nayantara donning the lead roles. The flick was a big hit in mollywood and the unit looks forward to replicate the same in kollywood. A major attraction of the flick is that actress Asin will be seen after a long break in Kollywood. The film is expected to hit the screens on August.
