Madhavan turns 40  [Tuesday, June 1, 2010]

The face of Indian films, R Madhavan (Madhavan Ranganathan)  turned 40 today. With an undisputable performance both at the regional and national level, the actor has also received international acclaim. After making his glorious entry through Maniratnam's much acclaimed Alaipayuthe, he never had to turn back. The young actor with his mesmeric smile had coveted the hearts of the Indian audience. His pairing with Shalini was much acclaimed and the songs in the movie became ever green hits.

Later, Madhavan was seen in many less popular films in kollywood and at times shared the screen space with popular actors in kollywood and bollywood. His movie 'Run' relpicated the effects of Alaipayuthe. His action sequence in the flick 'Yuva' won million applause and he proved that he was not just a chocolate boy as he was labelled by the industry. He later began handling more serious roles. His latest flick 'Three Idiots' with Amir Khan was a popular hit both among the youngsters and the elderly. He will soon be seen in a kollywood flick with Kamal Hasan and Trisha. The flick is based on a triangular love story undoubtedly garnished by both the Madhavan and Kamal touch. We wish the evergreen actor a very happy birthday and a prosperous year ahead.
