With an undisputable performance both at the regional and national level, the actor has also received international acclaim. After making his glorious entry through Maniratnam's much acclaimed Alaipayuthe, he never had to turn back. The young actor with his mesmeric smile had coveted the hearts of the Indian audience. His pairing with Shalini was much acclaimed and the songs in the movie became ever green hits.

His movie 'Run' relpicated the effects of Alaipayuthe. His latest flick 'Three Idiots' with Amir Khan was a popular hit both among the youngsters and the elderly. He will soon be seen in a kollywood flick with Kamal Hasan and Trisha.
