For people bored with the same old faces in the industry came the 'Kadhalagi' which was an all fresher film. It has Ajay and Amrutha in lead roles. The music of the flick is scored by A R Rahman's sister A R Rehana. For those preferring an action flick, 'Kuttrapirivu' was a comfort.

The film has Srikanth and Prithviraj in lead roles. The film is based on how the two cops work jointly to oust naxel forces from the state. The film has Kamalini Mukerjee and Pooja Gandhi in the lead.
