Kollywood actress Poonam Bajwa of the 'Katcheri Aarambam' fame swooned at the sets of Thambikottai. The actress was at the sets and the unit was all busy shooting an important scene that was based on the back ground of a temple festival. The shot was happening in Pudukottai district .

The scene was supposed to have the hero Narain searching for the heroine among the crowd. Poonam was among the crowd when she felt suffocated and immediately fainted on the spot. The crew seeked medical attention for the actress and she was back to normal after being administered first aid. The shooting was disrupted for a few hours and finally everything was back to normal again after a couple of hours..
