Chief Minister M Karunanidhi will launch the film 'Illaignan' on this wednesday at a function in chennai. The movie is based on a script written by the chief minister and will have lyricist Pa Vijay in the lead role. The movie will be directed by Suresh Krishna.

The film is produced by mollywood producer S Martin and will have Meenakshi and Kushboo as the female leads. Sources say that the film will be shot in foreign locales like Italy,Holland and Switzerland.  “As the title suggests, it is about a youngster and the situations he come across in his life. It is a social theme with essential commercial ingredients to reach out to the masses.” said sources close to the unit.
