Ilayathalapathy Vijay's 50 th movie 'Sura' will not be released in Kerala on May 1st. The flick will be released world wide except in Kerala as the Film Distributors Association of the state has decided not to allow any non malayalam movie to be released in Kerala as a part of world wide release. Such films would be released only after two weeks of release world wide.

The distributors association said that the decision was taken to protect the interests of the mollywood industry which was at a worse off condition as the bollywood, hollywood and Kollywood flicks took over. Kerala was a good market for Kollywood flicks. The new releases 'Paiyya', 'VTV', 'Avatar' etc witnessed a great response from the mollywood audience. It is also note worthy that the Kollywood actors have a huge fan following in Kerala. The new decision of the FDAK would adversely affect the other language movies which enjoyed a great reception in kerala.
