Karunanidhi to lay foundation stone for residential colony at Payanoor  [Tuesday, April 6, 2010]
   
 

Synonymous to the felicitation extended to the Chief Minister by the kollywood in February, another function will be organized during which the Chief Minister would lay the foundation stone for the residential colony that will be constructed in Paiyanoor for the members of teh film industry. The foundation stone will be laid on April 23. The event would be marked by the presence of all top actors of Tamil film industry.

The residential colony will come up in a 65 acre land alloted by the Chief Minister. The settlement would also have a film studio among other facilities like hospital and school. Super star Rajanikanth would lay the foundation stone for the studio and Kamal Hasan will lay the stone for the proposed hospital. “We have also plans to set up an edit suit, a recording and dubbing studio at Kalaignar Thirai Oor. The colony would surely set an example for others", said V C Guhanathan, President of Film Employees Federation of South India.
