National Award winning kollywood director, Bala has decided that he will not direct any more movies that would reflect the darker side of life. He said that he promised the same to his mentors Balu Mahendra and Illayaraja. He said that his upcoming movies will be based on common men and will centre around their day to day lives. “My forthcoming movies would deal with commonmen. The one which I am currently directing (with Vishal and Arya in the lead) would prove it.”, said the confident director. He also said that he would do his best to reduce the time that he takes on working for movies. He also said that he would like to dedicate the National Award that he won to his mentor Balu Mahendra and his wife.He also said that he felt ashamed to accept the award when he see that his mentors who are great film makers themselves are not acknowledged for their contributions to the film field yet.
