Kollywood outshines at the 56th National Film Awards  [Saturday, January 23, 2010]
   
 

                            Tamil film director Bala was choosen as the best director for his 'Naan Kadavul', at the 56th National Film Awards. The film starring Arya was a much talked about one in kollywood. But it failed to pull much crowd into the theatres. However the news of the award came as a real consolation for the amount of hard work that went into the making of the movie. Hariharan bagged the award for the best play back male singer. The female play back singer award was bagged by Shreya Goshal for her songs in 'Antaheen' and 'Jogwa'. The award for the best actress was bagged by Priyanka Chopra and that of the best actor was bagged by Upendra Limaye for his performance in the marathi film 'Jogwa'. The mollywood movie 'Bioscope' was chosen for the Best Jury Award.
