Kollywood heart throbs Suriya and Shriya Sharan was choosen as the best tamil actors at the Exxo-Mathrubhumi-Amrita Awards. While Suriya got the award for his performance in Ayan and Aadhavan, Shriya won the award for her performance in 'Thoranai' and 'Kanthaswamy'. There was a close competition between Suriya and Vikram for the best actor award category . The award for the best film was once again bagged by Priyadarsan's own Kancheevaram. The award for the best director in tamil was bagged by K S Ravikumar. The awards will be distributed at a mega show that will be held in Kochi. However, the awards also shows the amount of fans that the tamil cinema has in kerala.
