Late Kannada film star Vishnuvardhan was cremated in Abhiman studio in Bangalore with all top state honours. The funeral was attended by film personalities and top politicians and bureaucrats. The funeral pyre of the actor was lit by his cousin. There were reports of a minor clash that took place between the fans and the police. The fans who were denied access to the funeral service set ablze six vehicles. The funeral was attended by more than four laks of his fans from Karnataka and other parts. There were violence reported in many parts of Southern Bangalore. There were damaged inflicted to life and property until the situation came under control during the later half of the day.
