The people of Tamil Nadu on thursday commemorated the 22nd death anniversary of M G Ramachandran, the founder of AIADMK and  a veteran film actor. AIADMK General Secretary Jayalalitha visited his memorial and paid floral tributes to her mentor. The other cadres garlanded his memorial. He died of cardiac arrest in 1987 after serving as a veteran politician and film actor through out his life time. The people and clubs over tamil nadu commemorated his reign by playing songs from movies in which he played the lead as the rediemeer of the oppressed.
