Veteran Kollywood actress Manorama was hospitalised on saturday for a knee surgery. She was admitted to a private hospital in Chennai and was administered anasthesia after the surgery. Sources say that the actress did not regain her conscious after the anasthesia and she was quickly admitted to the Intensive Care Unit of the hospital. The actress had earlier tried out ayurveda in kerala and was still left with an uncured leg and finally she decided for submitting herself for surgery. Aachi, as she is fondly called in Kollywood is a legendary actress with an acting experience of many decades. She has appeared along with almost all legendary actors of Kollywood and is one among the last living loop in that glorious chain.
