The apex body of Tamil film directors, Thiraipada Iyakkunar Sangam has called on Chief Minister M Karunanidhi to be their guest for the New Year bash that they have planned. The association has take steps to celebrate tamil new year from January 14 to January 16 by holding various pogrammes in Marina Beach. “We have invited the Chief Minister to take part in the celebrations. We also expressed our interest to stage a drama at the World Classical Tamil Conference to he held in Coimbatore in June 2010." said the press release of the association.
