Protests not against media - Sarath Kumar [Friday, October 9, 2009]
The South Indian Film Artists Association President R Sarath Kumar said that the actors were not against the media. He clarified that such a conclusion should not be derived from the outcome of the protest meet. He said that the protest was against only that daily which attempted to tarnish the image of the film artists. He also said that the association was willing to settle the issue if the daily tenders apologies. The president had also met the Chief Minister M Karunnaidhi in this regard. "We are not here to fight with the media. We respect the press. A solution can be arrived at if the newspaper, through on its own or through any other media organisation, comes forward to apologies for the report,” , said Mr Sarath.
