Thousands of actors and other artists joined hands to protest against the tamil daily that published articles alleging that there was flesh trade going on in the industry. The members of the South Indian Film Artists Association (SIFAA) collected themselves together on wednesday and raised protests against the derogatory remarks made against the artists. The meeting was attended by many eminent artists including Rajanikanth, Radharavi,Suriya, Vijayakumar, Radhika, Sarath Kumar and many others. The president of the association Mr Vijayakumar said that the press freedom should not be misused by the papers to insult the sentimenceof others.
