Ilayathalapathi announced on Sunday at a media meet in Vadapalani that he currently had no plans to join Congress. He said he would like to concentrate more on his films especially his latest venture 'Vettaikaran'. "I was surprised when I was asked to meet Mr. Gandhi. I am not a big person. But I thought it was a good opportunity, because he is a leader who brought about changes and ensured a great victory for the Congress in the Lok Sabha polls,", said the actor about his meeting with Ilayathalapathy. He however aded that he was not completly against the idea of joining politics. He said he might join politics in the future.
