Asin Thottumkal was honoured at the IIFA as the Best Female Debut for her performance in Gajini. The tenth episode of the International Indian Film Academy Awards was held at China, Macau Islands. Asin, now a popular star in the Bollywood bagged four awards in the best female debut category for the year 2008-2009 succeeding over many actresses like Sonam Kapoor and many others. The actress is currently busy at the sets of 19 Steps , an Indo Japanese flick.
