The Cine Musicians Union on Sunday felicitated the Academy Award Winner A R Rahman appreciating him for the immense effort he put in for rising to the level in which he is at present. Veteran Carnatic musician M. Balamurali Krishna, said the award was a recognition of Rahman’s musical creativity and hard work. In his reply, Mr Rahman said that  “Music is oneness. Abusing each other in a music industry is unhealthy. I request my fans to stay away from degrading someone else’s composition because every work is worth its effort.” Humbling himself to all the reception he said that,“This award belongs to every person in the music industry. God just had selected me to collect this on behalf of you all.”
