Madras High Court resumes functioning [Thursday, February 26, 2009]
The Madras High Court started functioning from wednesday onwards, though the lawyers stayed away demanding action against police officers who were responsible for the attack on the court premises on February 19th.There were a few police officers in the Rajamannar Hall. They left after some time after the court resumed to normal functioning. The lawyers wore black badges and observed fast for the third day. The Madras Bar Association demanded an inquiry by a sitting judge who should submit the report within a given period.
