The Chennai Corporation has come out with a noval scheme where the new borns in the Corporation Hospital will be gifted with a golden ring if they are named in Tamil by their parents. This is according to the salient features released by the corporation headed by the Mayor,DMK's Subramanian. According to the other proposals in the budget, the corporation aims at increasing the green cover of the city by planting a sapling at the birth of every child within the corporation limits.
