Former Tamil Nadu minister and senior congress leader 'Kadayanallur' S.M.A Majeed died on Sunday morning after a period of prolonged illness. Mr majeed who served as the Local Administration Minister in the Congress government headed by Kamaraj was not keeping well for quite some time. He was in his daughter's residence at the time of his death. His last rites will be performed in Kadayanallur, Tirunelveli district today. Chief Minister M Karunanidhi, Party General Secretary K Angazhagan, Tamil Nadu Congress Committee President K V Thangkabalu and CPL leader D Sudharsanam expressed there condolences over Mr Majeed's death.
