The State Government has alotted Rs 773 crores for the Adi Dravidars in the state during 2008-2009. The allotment was announced by Minister for Adi Dravidar Welfare, A Tamilarasi. She was inaugurating the school hostels for Adi Dravidar students in Puthaharam on Monday. The state government has also secured financial assistance from NABARD to the tune of 110 crore for Adi Dravidars.
