Rescued Indians from Malaysia lands Chennai [Sunday, February 1, 2009]
After being rescued from human traffickers, nine migrant labourers from Malaysia arrived here at Chennai . A total of 11 labourers were rescued by Kamalanathan a Malaysian Tamil, from a factory in Malaysia . A remaining of two labourers are waiting for the travel permission from Indian High Commission in Malaysia. A Gujarat based agency had hired them in September 2007 for a carpet manufacturing industry in Malaysia. 'According to contract, we had to work 12 hours in the factory and they offered food and accomodation. The situtaion has changed after two months and they started forcing us to work upto 20 hours every day. Also they refused to pay the salary'
