State celebrated the 60 th Republic Day with traditional fervour, march past and by unfurling the National Flag. The ceremonial march past had 39 contigents including those from army,navy,air force, central reserve police force, central industrial security force, railway protection force, chennai city police etc. The finance minister distributed the gallantry awards to Salammal of Srinivasapuram village in Krishnagiri District.
