The Southern Railway, General Manager, R Narasimhan passed away here on Saturday after a period of prolonged sickness. He was 75 and is survived by his wife, a daughter and a son. He was the first officer from the Indian Railways Accounts service to become the General Manager of a Railway Zone. He was also a pioneer of computerisation in Indian Railways.
