Mullaperiyar Dam Rights Retrival commitee leader Vaiko said that the group would block all 13 roads from Tamil Nadu to Kerala on May 28 to protest against the 'denial' of the states rights over the dam. He was addressing a meeting of the commitee in Madurai. He also told the press that various farm associations will also participate in the raod blockage in Tirunelvei, Theni, Kanyakumari and Coimbatore, the border districts.They also urged that Tamil Nadu government should ask the centre to direct the Central Water Irrigation Board to take over the dam maintenance.
