Following the strong resistance from industrialists, the TNEB authorities decided to drop the proposal of two holiday and continue with the power cut scheme. The CII state Council Chairman, Manikam Ramaswami had written a letter to Electricity minister Arcot N Veeraswamy to relax the amount of power cut for High Tension (HT) industrial units.
