State health minister seeks Rs 16 crore for swine flu control [Friday, August 21, 2009]
The Tamil Nadu Health Minister M R K Paneerselvam sought for Rs 16 crore from the centre for various activities to control the swine flu in Tamil Nadu. The State Minister who was also speaking at the conference of State Health Minister's and Health Secretaries in New Delhi said that “the situation of A(H1N1) [was] well under control [in the State].” He also added that “huge quantities of N95 masks, triple layer masks and personal protective equipments and testing kits” were required.
