OUP not affected by economic down turn [Sunday, July 26, 2009]
The Managing Director of Oxford University Press, Neil Tomkins said that the economic slow down had very little effect on OUP. "We are fairly lucky because we are education publishers". He also said that the other publishers who were into pure trade had suffered really bad due to the down turn. Education on the whole was not affected much by the slow down . This inturn have helped the OUP to survive despite the adverse economic scenario.
