Union Minister for New and Renewable Energy, Farooq Abdullah said here on Friday that the new power generation based incentives planned for the renewable energy sector will not phase out the existing accelerated depriciation incentives. Allaying the concerns of the people in the sector that the introduction of the new incentives will phase out the existing incentives, the minister said that "Both things would go together". Mr Abdullah also said in a lighter vain that the finance minister should be on board for the success of the new intended initiatives.
