The alumni of Madras Christian College in Europe are hosting a reception for Professor C T Kurien who will be on a short visit to the UK in the next few days.  He was the head of the department of Economics in the College in the 1960's. He was the warden of Heber Hall during 1962 -66.
 
Professor C T Kurien is Professor Emeritus of the Madras Institute of Development Studies of which he was Director and Chairman.  He is currently on the Board of Governors of Institute for Social and Economic Change, Bangaluru.
