The World Classical Tamil Conference that is to be held in June in Coimbatore will have a special guest from Maldives. The President of Maldives, Mohamad Nasheed said on saturday that he would attend the conference with a delegation from his country. He had visited the Chief Minister at his residence and told the press that they discussed how best both countries can 'cooperate' together. The Maldives President was in Chennai for an official visit and has also scheduled to have some other business engagements during his stay. Thus it is more or less confirmed that the conference planned out by the state government will be marked by the presence of dignatories from academic and political back ground during all the five days right from its start on June 23rd.
