World Tamil Organisation Cancells Mega Pongal 2010 event due to heavy snow

World Tamil Organisation (UK) has cancelled today's (09/Jan/2010) Mega Pongal event 2010 due to the poor weather conditions. Every year WTO, UK conducts many Tamil events in a great & professional manner. This year 2010 the organisation planned a Mega Pongal event that was about to be held at ‘The Archbishop Lanfranc School’, Croydon, London. World Tamil Organisation is a registered charity organisation formed in 2005 for the welfare of Tamil community. The Mega Pongal 2010 event was almost ready to proceed until this morning. Speaking to TamilChannel exclusively Mr. Jacob Ravi Balan, the President of the World Tamil Organisation (UK) confirmed that the organisation had to cancel today's event because of heavy snow in the Europe,UK which caused chaos in the UK. He also told us that WTO would be conducting another event in the coming months. TamilChannel.com wishes World Tamil Organisation (WTO) a Happy Pongal. We hope that WTO will be conducting another program during the Tamizh New Year (14/April/2010) period. Lets hope the weather settles down by that time as the current cold weather started in mid-December 2009 and it has been prolonged for more than a month.
