Kanthaswamy, the new face of Kollywood film  [Monday, August 24, 2009]

And afer the long waiting Kanthaswamy has finally come to enthrall the audience. The movie is a joint block buster created by a group of enthusiastic and talented artists. Each one of them have carried out there part so well that the film has turned out to be a proper set commercial entertainer in all senses. The music of the film had captured the hearts of all South Indians much earlier and the film too had followed the trait. The music was directed by Devi Sri Prasad and overwhelms with energy and exuberance. The cinematography is definitely awesome that one falls short of words to describe its beauty and is sure to applaud the creativity of the cinematographer N K Ekambaram. The film is graced by the  super hot pairing of Vikram and Shriya.

Vikram donnes the role of the saviour of millions once again. Though the Anniyan concept raises head at times, the novelity of the film still remains in the story line and all other components including stunt, music, dance, graphics and cinematography. So no worries of a repetition. The story centres a temple in the name of Kanthaswamy (Lord Muruga) where the devotees ties there wishes and woes to a tree. And their saviour emerges adorning the incarnation of Kanthaswamy to grant the wishes of the poor and the needy. The hero routes the black money  to help the poor.

Shriya's looks are truly beyond the realms of Indian concept of  a heroine and often matches that of the peppy hollywood heroines. Truly the entire film matches a typical Hollywood film and the budget is well spent. Hats off for the entertainer of the year. Its definitely a must watch...
